Jalan-Jalan in Switzerland

Today is Monday and much has happened.

On Saturday Alienor, Marielle’s (our Fribourg IRO coordinator) daughter, brought us on an even better tour of Fribourg’s old town with all the medieval stuff. We walked around for about 3 hours but it didn’t feel so tiring coz the weather was pretty good until we had to climb like so many stairs. We took a gazillion photos and Heidi manage to cook up a Swiss Drama by speculating that Alienor and our other guide were together…complete with paparazzi photos for her fanfic hahaha. And then we ate what may be the biggest individual pizza ever that I’ve eaten. It’s like personal pan pizza times 3!!! Really!! or even four. o.O! Les Germanigues then left on their spontaneous tours and other than being super jealous that they can go just about anywhere in Switz with their rail pass we decided to get rail passes ourselves XD!!

On Sunday we decided to milk the rail pass for all it’s worth (394 CHF !!!!!) and it started out mild enough with plans to go to Interlaken’s limestone caves and taking a ferry ride to Thun but then because it was our destiny (hahahahaa) we ended up going to Grindelwald (actually we just anyhow whack a place to go. Veron chose it coz it sounded like someone from Harry Potter’s name) which is en route to Jungfraujoch!!

Qu’est-ce que c’est Jungfraujoch?? It’s the highest railway station in all of Europe!! Ahhhh omg it’s like tucked away in the mountains. The SNOW CAPPED MOUNTAINS!!! hahaha I had to part with even more francs to get there but the precious two hours we spent there was so worth it. My first time playing in the snow and it’s in the Swiss Alps!! XD but the funny thing was in the caves leading to the outer part of the mountain it was freezing but outside i took off the extra sweater I borrowed coz it was HOT! Heidi got sunburnt and I was slightly sunburnt too! But the place was just like straight outta National Geographic. ahhh!!!! I didn’t want to leave! We were outside until it started SNOWINF yes SNOWING. OMGGGGGG we were freezing but it was so much fun and we even still went to the freakin Ice Palace made well of ice and we froze our little butts off haha. And in that day, we took 8 trains to the top, totally maximising the money we paid for the rail pass mannn if it wasn’t so expensive or far away from where I’m staying I’d wanna go again.

Then today after class we went to Bern, the capital of Switzerland. I think after Jungfraujoch anything else is boring. Well Bern was pretty but it was much like Fribourg just prettier. But the Rose Garden we went to was a really nice place and the grass we lied down on was fantastic. I just wished we’d gone to Einstein’s house. The geek in me is somewhat disappointed.

Haha well I guess that’s all for now. Gotta recount this in French now. T___T”

A tout a l’heurre! XD
